FlexGen, BGI and LUMC collaborate in Target Enrichment experiment

In a collaborative effort FlexGen BV, Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and BGI will validate a set of variants in a large set of trio samples from the Genome of the Netherlands (GoNL) project. The experiment will take place at the BGI facilities in China in Q1 2012.

Leiden, January 25, 2012 - FlexGen – based in the Leiden Bio Science Park in the Netherlands - was founded in December 2004 as a spin off from Leiden University Medical Centre and Dutch Space (part of EADS). Anticipating a rapidly growing genetic research market, FlexGen developed a proprietary technology for synthesizing custom oligonucleotides. The platform is now used for a variety of applications including production of in-solution target enrichment kits, FleXelect.
