“We are convinced that there is a high need for a company like ours in drug development, in a time where companies are working more and more virtual, while development timelines should be kept as short as possible without compromising quality” says Lars Bastiaanse, CEO and co-founder of 3D-PharmXchange, a life science firm with refreshing ideas on how drug development can be innovated and made more efficient.
3D-PharmXchange, a newly created life science company was founded early last year by a team of drug development experts. The creation of the company was aimed to provide innovative drug development solutions by providing integrated, yet flexible development power up to the highest strategic level of the drug development.
3D-PharmXchange is able to provide all core development expertise (non-clinical and clinical development, regulatory affairs, Chemistry Manufacturing and Control (CM&C) and project management), as well as business development support from its in-house team. The company fills in short and medium term management team positions for pharma’s and biotechs, provides complete development program design, organizational development and executes various consultancy projects. “The coherency and dedication of our team has proven to be a key factor, especially in situations where budgets are tight and timelines are tight. Clear communication becomes easier by doing so”, says Ronald van der Geest, partner at 3D-PharmXchange.
Right from the start, the company received a wide range of requests for support by a mix of small to large life science companies. As a result, the company rapidly expanded its in-house core expertise and has recently set up an office in Tilburg from where they operate, if not working on location.
About 3D-PharmXchange
3D-PharmXchange has been formed by a team of development consultants with real-life management experience of delivering success at all key points in the drug development lifecycle of products at pharma and biotech companies. The management team has a longstanding background as developers and experts for the pharma industry. Before they founded 3D-PharmXchange, they held key positions at companies like Johnson & Johnson and others. As such, they bring in expertise from the core of development process. “We are now part of a team of experts that bring significant strategic, corporate, product development and regulatory experience from companies like Merck, Solvay Pharmaceuticals and also from the regulatory authorities” says Inez de Greef, partner at 3D-PharmXchange.
The company also brings along a broad network from within the sector. Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and non-core development expertise are brought on board on a need basis and completely independently. Selection of these partners is supported by prior experience in most cases.
