Side visits March 22
On Thursday 22 March, a number of cluster organizations and science parks in the Netherlands offer the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique Dutch life sciences community. These side visits all focus on a specific topic; join the topic of your interest! Scroll down for more details.
Thus far, we offer the following side visits:
- Brains Unlimited (European Centre of Excellence in ultra high magnetic field MRI) and the Maastricht Study – Hosted by Maastricht Health Campus
- Regenerative Medicine – Hosted by Utrecht Science Park & Utrecht Life Sciences
- Infectious Diseases and Vaccins – Hosted by Immuno Valley
- Cooperation: the key to successful drug development – Hosted by Medical Delta & Leiden Bio Science Park
The visits include presentations, field visits to research sites or companies as well as ample networking opportunities. All side visits include transportation from Amsterdam to the side event location and back.

Free additional program to BioEurope Spring 2012 Amsterdam
Prelimary program
- transport to Leiden, venue NCB Naturalis, the national biodiversity museum
- 09.30 hrs welcome at Leiden Bio Science Park and presentation on the added value of collaboration as key to successful drug development at Leiden Bio Science Park and in the region Medical Delta,
- presentations by Leiden Bio Science Park companies to-BBB, Prosensa and CHDR showcasing collaborations between companies and university/LUMC, in research and facility sharing,
- luncheon
Optional program in the afternoon: you can choose between:
- a free guided tour at the Naturalis museum, the national biodiversity museum at 13.00 hrs (duration appr 1 hour)
- a site visit at the Netherlands Centre for Electron Nanoscopy (www.necen.nl), the shared open access facility for cryo-transmission electron microscopes of The Netherlands at the Cell Observatory of Leiden University. (duration appr 1 hour)
- company visit at a company located at Leiden Bio Science Park. Please arrange your company visit with the company through the partnering module of the BioEurope Spring.
- 15.00 hrs departure from Leiden to Amsterdam or Schiphol airport. Appr. arrival in Amsterdam 16.00 hrs, at Schiphol appr 15.30 hrs.
Transport
Leiden Bio Science Park will arrange for transportation from the BioSpring venue Rai in Amsterdam to Leiden, departing aprr. 8.30 hrs and returning to RAI/Amsterdam or Schiphol airport at appr 16.00 hrs. Exact times and location of the minibus will be announced. Please indicate your transportation needs at the regstration form.

This program is offered to interested biotech companies, institutions and development agencies by the Leiden Bio Science Park foundation. There are no costs involved, we do require a registration.
